Since our launch on 1st August 2020 we have hit the ground running. In the first eight weeks of service we have given information to 57 people in Malta - that is an average of one person contacting us every day.
The main channels of communication were our helpline 27782758 and the chat facility on our website www.fpasmalta.info. We've had queries on a wide range of reproductive health issues, including abortion options, contraception options, morning after pill queries, and even two queries on IVF services.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all FPAS volunteers, as well as the organisations Doctors for Choice Malta and the Women's Rights Foundation for helping to make FPAS a reality. Our multidisciplinary team of pro-choice volunteers enables us to provide accurate and unbiased information on virtually all sexual and reproductive health issues, and this is what makes this service truly unique in Malta.
Our message to the public is: please do not hesitate to contact us! We are here to help, and just like we've been able to help so many others, we'll surely be able to help you too.
